A vibrant, young family with two children and a professional salon in their home asked Chapters to create a serene living area on the ground floor with a minimalist feel, in which the entire family can enjoy the space.
The design prioritises lightness, reflected in the choice of light-colored walls and floor-length curtains.
This light-filled house creates the perfect palette for a light interior. The left side of the house consists entirely of glass, providing Chapters with the opportunity to play with light and shade. To implement a minimalist style and an open feel, we brought the glass elements of the exterior into the interior with glass and black steel doors. Another way to play with light is with the golden feature lamps placed throughout the space.
The ice blue custom-made kitchen with stainless steel details is the timeless eye-catcher of the living space. For sentimental value, the handles on each cabinet were taken from the owner’s former kitchen. We changed the colour of these handles to create a uniform look for the newly designed kitchen. The colour palette and the materials chosen for the kitchen are brought into the interior of the bedrooms and bathrooms to create a serene whole of natural wood, stone, and steel - with ice blue, burgundy and ochre to accentuate each room.
