The Hotel Chique Home

Sittard

One of our larger residential projects is The Hotel Chique Home. A house for which we have custom-designed the ground floor, the first floor and the garden. The character of the owners was brought to life on the ground floor, by using bright blues to accentuate the details of this extraordinary home. This home breathes colour, much like its owners. Important to the owners was to create a communal area in which they could enjoy a glass of wine but would also be suitable as a family room. Therefor we have implemented a bar in the kitchen counter that serves as a quiet spot for late night talks. A cosy dining area is created for entertaining guests. The kitchen is designed as the heart of the home, as the owners like to cook and spend long evenings having dinners with guests.

A harmonious blend of aesthetics, functionality, and personal expression — an embodiment of the principles that define our approach at Chapters.

We had already drawn up plans to integrate extra storage on the ground floor for an expanding family and to everyone’s delight, we had the honor of adding a nursery to the design of the first floor in the midst of the process. The first floor was added as an addition to the house, the outside walls of the addition are covered in woodwork, to connect the natural environment of the garden with the house.

The first floor has a similar hotel chic vibe, but we have created a much lighter feel to it. The upstairs hallway is designed in neutral shades with heavily textured wallpaper. The tonal palette for the bedrooms on the first floor is designed in terracotta tones, combined with dark oak, rattan, textured walls, and dark blue and golden accents. To extend the connection with the ground floor, the bathroom is designed in shades of blue. Rich materials such as marble, dark wood and tinted glass create that hotel chic look. In the master bedroom, we have created a custom walk-in wardrobe and placed a brass bathtub as a feature piece, an area in which the owners can create a moment of privacy and luxury.

Other than the bedrooms, we have created a home office, a gym, and laundry room on the first floor. The gym and the laundry room are given a floral theme in a soft green palette. The home office is very rich, using warm terracotta colours and brass accents to match the bedrooms.
