The Home of Arches

Sittard

For the owners who obtained this pristine residence, we were asked to bring a sense of warmth and coziness into this house to make it a home. Set against the lush greens of the former city walls, we used tones of olive and sage green to connect the house with its environment and to let the light into the home. The green onyx of the bathroom is thoughtfully woven into the home’s design by wrapping the steel of the glass doors in a complementary sage hue, creating a seamless flow from one space to another.

The red brick color acts as a unifying thread that ties all rooms together within the featured color palette.

The most distinctive element of the house is the arched ceiling in the main space set in red brick. To implement the ceiling into the interior, we have curated a modular sofa in a brick red colour. The sofa connects the living area with the dining area, with seating on both sides of the sofa. To keep a calm balance throughout the space, we have combined hues of green with a neutral colour palette.

For the walls, we have chosen a textured wallpaper in a shade of beige in combination with the natural wooden floors. The other furniture pieces we have curated are wooden furniture in light and darker tones. The red brick colour also comes back in the stone floor in the home office, connecting all rooms of the house within the featured colour palette.
