For this beautiful, elegant home, Chapters redesigned the ground floor, the first floor and the roof terrace. The owners of The Elegant Home are exactly that, elegant. With a love for neutral tones and accentuating accessories, we transformed their house into a state-of-the-art interior design dream, capturing the aesthetic the owners have envisioned.

An environment that not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the residents, embodying a refined sense of style and creating a luxurious retreat that seamlessly merges indoor and outdoor living.

Large, light tiles cover the ground floor, which we have accentuated by placing in a wooden feature in floor near the entrance, giving a nod to the authentic wooden floors on the first floor. Another eye-catching accent is the feature wall behind the toilet, adding true hotel luxury to the space. In a field of neutrals, we have designed a custom-made dark oak kitchen with a tiger marble countertop, a statement piece, and a conversation starter. Curated and custom-detailed designer furniture and accessories fill this house with true elegance. Another statement piece on this floor is the sofa – a large, terracotta couch that adds a pop of colour to the neutral colour palette.

For the first floor, we have designed an open floor plan, to create that true hotel suite experience. Implementing the same colour palette as the ground floor, we have created a stunning suite with a sleeping area, seating area, bathing area, make-up table, coffee nook, built-in wardrobe, and a bathroom in the same space. As for choice of materials, we have used light stone, dark oak and tinted glass throughout the space. The textured headboard and the wall panel behind the bathtub are the feature pieces of this space.

The roof terrace mixes classic elegance with bohemian style. Throughout all spaces – indoors and outdoors – we have used the same colour palette and materials. The outdoor walls are set in dark oak wood panels, and the wooden furniture is combined with fabrics in neutral tones. The customised jacuzzi is seamlessly blended in with the terrace floor, creating a tranquil space to enjoy on a hot summer’s day.
