The Eclectic Home

Valkenburg

At Chapters, we believe a house should represent the character of the people living in it. In designing this eclectic home, Chapters was given the chance to truly represent the colourful character of the owner and to give it a flamboyant, feminine interior – without concessions.

The house in itself is characteristic – an old pastor’s home with large, stained-glass windows. The classic, complementary combination of green and pink was used as a base to create the designated spaces.

A vibrant, feminine sanctuary, where each element contributes to a rich tapestry of personality and style.

For all feature walls in each space, we have worked with a rich, textured wallpaper in various shades of green, pink, and purple that complement the overall theme of the concept.

The ceiling in the living room was painted pink, making a statement as soon as you walk into the room. It is combined with a contrasting green sofa, a red lounge chair and a neutral rug. All in a fluid, organic shape - accentuating the round shapes of the female form. The theme of femininity has been implemented throughout the house in stunning decorative interior pieces. For all feature walls in each space, we have worked with a rich, textured wallpaper in various shades of green, pink, and purple that complement the overall theme of the concept. The result is not just a house — it's a celebration of individuality and a testament to the belief that a home should be a true reflection of the resident.
