The Boutique Hotel Home

Stevensweert

To redesign a beautiful house in Stevensweert, Chapters used a moody theme, choosing dark colours on every floor of the house to create the boutique hotel feeling the owners of the house commissioned us for.

Organic shapes and natural materials take center stage in the interior design.

In the next chapter of their lives, the owners wanted to create a home that would fit their family life as well as their work life. An important element to keep was the open character of the house, to accentuate the loft-style living. Each part of the house is connected, which gives the owners maximum utility of the space. When working from home, the office looks right into the living room – integrating the elements of their daily lives.

For the ground floor, olive green was chosen as the main pop of colour, whilst the top floor is set in a dark petrol. A third accent we brought into the house to create a softer palette for the nursery, are shades of terracotta. To accentuate the height of the house, we have placed large glass and steel doors throughout the house. The glass and steel accents are repeated in the mezzanine, the top layer of the house in which we have created a beautiful bedroom that overlooks the living room. Closing the circle of the open character of the house. For the interior design, we have used organic shapes and natural materials. The soft shapes of the furniture are balanced with wood and stone accents to create harmony.
