La Ferme Lanterne

Wittem

A monumental mansion from 1813. High ceilings, authentic elements, wooden beams and a church floor form the foundation of this interior. Light, spacious, intimate and artistic. The original name of Chapters House is La Ferme Lanterne, where Joana lives and works with her wiener dog Tuur. The location of the house offers true holiday vibes, which made this house the perfect place to create a home and an office in one.

A unique and highly personal interior with plenty of space for art and design.

To separate the offices from the house, a shade of dusty pink is used on the walls to create a different world. The downstairs living area of the house is kept in light shades with dark accents. The original dark stone floor is translated into the dark paint on the staircase and the doors. To accentuate the stateliness of this authentic farmhouse, Joana has chosen to use large, bold furniture in combination with expressive artwork and natural, heavy elements such as stone and wood. The use of rich materials honors the heritage of the house.

The high ceilings are decorated in large, low-hanging lamps, to create more homeliness in the house. For Joana, it was important to have a living area in which she could host many guests, for which she curated a beautiful designer sofa to create a lounge area. The Chapters House is a true representation of Joana’s style and authenticity.
